Any of you ever been around one of these Vortex Razor HD LH scopes, particularly the 3-15x42? I bought one but won't have it till next week. Curious if anyone has been around one and if so what did you think of it. Thanks

I have one on my .22LR rifle and use it for shooting paper targets at 55 yards. It works great for that at 15X and the light weight is nice. I like the G4 reticle.

Cabelas has a good price on it now.

This will be going on a CZ 527 17 Rem and Cabelas is where I bought it. Seemed like a good price for what is supposed to be good optics but only time will tell how good a deal it is.

I have the 3-15x42 with the G4 reticle and love the scope. I got it on sale for 599.00 and not sure why they are doing away with that reticle. It is perfect for varmint hunting and would also be nice on a rimfire for shooting small game. It has good glass and the side parallax works spot on. It will also focus down to about 15 yards. My only complaint would be that it would be nice if it had a more positive adjustment on the turrets. I was some what disappointed they did not do a better job on them. It is a nice scope for the money and performs well in low light. The G4 for me is the perfect reticle. Not busy, the dot is the perfect size and as soon as you look into the scope your eye is drawn straight to the dot. If that scope was offered in a 3-15 and 3-20 with the dot illuminated in the G4 it would be on every rifle I have.

My initial impression of this scope, the optics are very good. The turrets could stand to be more pronounced and exact feeling but it's doubtful I'll do any dialing with this scope anyway so as long as it dials in and holds zero, I'll likely never touch them after they are set. Considering the price of this scope was only $599, so far, it seems like a great value.

I have the Razor HDll in the 4.5-27 on my precision rifle for F-Class matches. It's probably one of the best 5 scopes in the world, IMHO. It's Vortex's top of the line model that will go up against anything NF, Sightron, Leupold, U.S. Optics, etc. puts out there. I've seen one review from a U.S. Sniper who puts it on par with a Schmidt-Bender. That says a lot!!!

Not exactly the same scope as the HD LH series
