Vortex Golden Eagle at 50 Yards

Anyone using one at this range? I seem to be having problems with clarity.

I had mine focused in at 25 yards the other day when I was trying it out. No issues with clarity.

Closest for me is 75 yards. Very clear.

Do you require eye correction and shoot without it? If so, the scope could be running out of focus travel. Is the focus at the end of travel? --Jerry

Parallax setting on the GE goes from 20 yd to infinity according to Vortex. I have tried a couple of Nightforce scopes at 50 yd, which was their listed minimum parallax setting. Neither one could be fully focused at that distance and the target images remained slightly blurry. At 75 yd and further they are both fine. Given that you were shooting at a distance 30 yd greater than the manufacturer's minimum parallax setting, I wouldn't think parallax should be an issue.

Yes I have. Silly question, but did you adjust the eye peice for parallax first?

Did you take the time to focus the reticle (ocular) before you took it out? That makes a ginormous difference... it takes me about 10 - 15 minutes to get it dialed in for each scope, but it's a one-time thing.
