Vortex Fury 5000 HD with AB question

I see that the Vortex Fury 5000 HD with Applied Ballistics seems out of stock everywhere and several stores show it as discontinued. Anyone heard if a new model is about to come out from Vortex?

It is my understanding that Vortex acquired Geoballistics, and since they are now a competitor to AB in the ballistics calculator space, they discontinued the use of AB on their products.

Scheels was selling them $500 off as recently as 2 weeks ago but we're out of stock. They told me they could order me a pair but not at the discounted price.

The Geoballistics comment above sounds about par for the course.

My son got a pair at that price. There's a pair for sale in the optics section here about 4-6 pages in. Like new just over a $1k

Thanks for the replies. The GeoBallistics purchase makes since as to why they aren’t available. Suspect they will probably be coming out with something new soon using GeoBallistics, probably be announced at shot show.

I hadn't noticed before but now see that the Vortex Razor 4000 handheld range finder and the Vortex Impact 4000 both use GeoBallistics. Makes sense that they would be eliminating Applied Ballistics from their bino's.

I don't know if there's a new model about to come or not but, I've got a pair for sale in the marketplace that are pretty much new.
