Thought I would mention what a great experience I had recently with Volquartsen Custom. I ordered a semi custom 22wmr, with a special 5/8 X24 threading to accept my suppressor, which I could not sent to Iowa for fitting to the barrel, as the can is illegal in IA. They had the .22 in my hands in less than 2 weeks...
unfortunately, my suppressor would not screw all the way onto the barrel. They offered to open up the threads, but I thought I would use a local gunsmith I had heard of, and went for the fast local 2 day option...
The local gunsmith did the best he could to re-work the threads, and his best was not a good fix. Now the suppressor was loose on my expensive rifle. Not good. I spoke with, emailed and consulted with Volquartesen, who could have easily said "Not my problem, pal". They,Nic) sold me a new barrel at cost, re-threaded again without a can to match, but used my newly purchased Bushmaster OEM 5/8 X 24 compensator for a guide, re-fit my new barrel to my original receiver and did it all in ONE WEEK-door to door. Every phone call answered or returned promptly, every email answered in 2-3 hours, and all cheerfully.
The other good news is that this rifle is shocking accurate.
