VLD seating stem with standard bullets?

Hi folks,

I'm loading .223 Rem for a bolt gun, and will be trying out bullets such as the 52gr SMK for short range as well as the 75gr A-max for longer distances. I seat bullets with the Redding Competition micrometer seater, and after having some difficulty seating the A-max, I picked up the VLD seating stem from Redding. Problem solved for that bullet.

Now, should I switch between standard/VLD stems based on what bullet I'm seating? Or go with the VLD stem for all? Are there any issues of which I should be mindful? Thanks for any feedback.
