Am I wrong here or is this article incorrect on the ownership of Remington Arms?
While Vista did come away from the bankruptcy auction with the rights to Remington branded ammo they did not get the firearms segment of Remington (as stated in this article).
That belongs to Rounndhill Group.
Vista is a huge company and apparently has decided to distance itself from the firearm and firearm related industries. They had already broken all this off into Revalist (don't remember exact spelling).

This proposed sale is a very long ways from being a done deal. It's got stiff opposition from some very powerful members of Congress. The sale can be delayed past the election and when Trump wins, he can appoint the members of CFIUS and effectively kill the sale, which he will do.

They are trying to sell the ammunition portion of Remington, not the firearm part. It is going to be interesting it Federal is included in this deal.

I would put nothing past this administration and if it sells overseas then they can just ban the imports. hope congress steps in and stops this in the name of national security.

This is such old news. The sale is for Kinetic which owns the Remington ammunition brand. The proposed buyer is a Czech group Czechoslovakia Group (CSG) for $1.96bn. They have bought companies including Fiocchi. Vista have rejected an offer to sell to MNC Capital Partners for $3bn. The latest to enter the bidding is Jeffery Hildebrand with an all-cash $3bn offer.
