Keep in mind, this stock is not inletted, vented, or lightened yet. A lot of weight is going to come off this thing.Ok, Bob's wife's scale said it weighs a negative 60 lbs. Mine says 15 lbs.
I'm not sure what I'm gonna build on this. I'm no longer a competitive shooter, so it'll be a fun-gun. I've got a 6mm gain twist Krieger barrel, that I also got from Bob. I'm leaning toward a 6PPC with that barrel. I might even clamp the barrel. If anyone remembers the Sinclair aluminum stock, or the Brux copy. They worked good with smaller cartridges. My first F class rifle in 260 shoots good. I tried a couple times with a 284. It torqued way too much.
Yeah they look identical, but Bob said he did a special voodoo dance with mine. I assumed that was to make it better, but now I'm wondering if I should get this thing out of my house.Hi Andy,
Mr. Ranger actually got the very first stock off the mill. Tom got the one I finished the second day.
Both are identical.
