Vihtavuori options for 257 roberts

Ive got a barrel on the way along with some sierra 90 gk and 110 tgk. I've got n140 , n160 and 555. Anyone have any experience with vihtavuori? They don't have and data for the bob.

I found N150 to work quite well for my 25 Creedmoor with those bullet weights. I think N140 would have been a bit fast, and haven’t tried the N160 yet.
Without knowing all the parameters of your rifle (it might not help...) the above is good generalized information.

VVN-140 is just a tad too fast.

VVN-160 is a tad too slow.

But like baby bear, the VVN-150 is just about right.

Enjoy the process!

Good morning E-Mail VihtaVuori/Berger if you haven’t already, very helpful.
I’ve shot N-160 in a .264 Win Mag and N-140 in a 22-250 both with excellent results.
Currently trying N-540 in a 6x47 Lapua (I know everyone shoots H4350 for the 6X47).
CSLR grandpa

I’ve used N140 with 115 grainers, N160 with 120 grainers. The N140/115 were through a ten twist, and quite accurate.

The N160/120 are through a nine twist, and I’m still working with them (Nosler Partitions) and fire forming at the same time. Rain and a wet field been delaying the crap out me.

Nosler manual shows N160 with 110s and 85s. Berger manual shows N160 with the 115s. Speer manual shows N150 with 87s and 100s.

Perfect. I think I forgot about looking at nosler info. Thanks I got lots of n160

I've been using the N555 in my 257 Roberts AI, but not my standard 257 Roberts.

For the standard Roberts I'm using H414 (W760) with 75 & 90gr bullets.
For 100 gr-115gr bullets, Hybrid 100V has been giving me good accuracy and best velocity.
I'm loading to +P levels.

The 257 Bob has a bit more internal volume than the Creedmoor case; closer to the 7MM Mauser case ( basis for the 257). I looked on the Vihtavuori reloading data and apparently this 257 Roberts isn't on their radar. For best results I would recommend the N160 but have no idea where to begin.
