Viht N135 in an 8 twist 6BR with heavy bullets

I'm getting ready to start reloading for an 8 twist 6BR and naturally I'm having trouble finding both bullets and powder. The only bullets I have been able to get are 90 and 107 grains. I have located some Viht N135 but that seems to be used mostly with light bullets of 80 gr or less. Has anyone had any luck with it using the heavier bullets? I do have about half a pound of N140 but I'm saving that for my 204.

My 6BR works good with the following powders and 107g VLD bullets, H4350, Varget, RL15.

Tried N135 and 29.2 g blows primers out of her so if you must, start around 27.5 g and go up to around 28.5 g. 29.0 g of N135 gave me 2990 fps, way to fast IMO for this bullet. 31.3g of H4350 gave 2885 to 2900 fps and shot great with a small jump (5 to 15 thou). 29.7 g of RL15 gave 2950 fps with a 20 thou jump. 30.3 g of Varget gave 2969 fps 10 thou jump. Jumping (off the lands) seems to give her tighter ES numbers and big ES (up against the lands) seems to give her more flyers and vertical at long range.

For 107g (1:8 T) at long range, I use CCI 450's. For SR BR (1:14 T) and 68g bullets, I was using 205Ms. These charges will all very with each barrel so start lower and work up. N135 does work very well with 68g FB bullets around 31.5g, against the lands in the old days when I shot BR with the 14 T :)

N140 would probably work better with 107s VS N135.

I think You've got it backwards!
A 6 BR with a 105 gr Bullet calls for a slower powder than a .204 Ruger with a 40 gr bullet!
N135 is ideal in a 6 BR with 65 - 80 gr bullets and should be great in a .204!
N140 should be great in 6 BR with 105's since it is close to Varget in burning rate
