Vibrating Tricklers? UPDATE

Bill Rodolph

Thinking about trying one, either the Hornady or the Little Dandy, but wonder if the motor will affect an electronic scale, more specifically the Creedmoor 925. Hornady says no, didn't ever hear back from Little Dandy. What are your experiences?

I have been reloading rifle loads and reading this forum for 10 + years and had never heard or read anything about the Little Dandy up until about six weeks ago. I ordered one and gave it a try and could hardly believe how well it worked with my Fx120i. Well worth every penny and entertaining to use. Makes me wonder what else I am clueless about.

What Mark said. Tommy Mc

I have been using the Hornady trickler with my Fx 120i for several months and I can say...NO problems. Works great.

Hmm! I have been using my rcbs hand trickler for so long, can one really make the change?

I have had no issues with the Little Dandy causing electrical interference with a scale.

If you think about it, all powder dispensers are using some sort of electromagnetic force to trickle, be it a vibration or a motor drive.

I really like the Little Dandy I have.

Gentlemen, thanks for your responses. They were as I expected. I guess I should have said the reason for my query, when I got my Creedmoor, I set it up on the bench with my Chargemaster Lite to do some comparing and the Chargemaster didn't like the Creedmoor being close to it at all. So my mind did some wondering.......

I use a Dandy Trickler with a A&D EJ-54D2 scale, works really well for precise loading. I throw my charge .1 grain lower in my RCBS Chargemaster, then put into tray on digital scale, trickle up to exact charge weight. Might not be what you're meaning.

Not impressed with the Hornady trickler. Works ok with some powders, others not so much. Never had a problem with the Hornady trickler affecting the Creedmoor TRX-925 scale though.
