Vibra Prime is Back!

I stopped by the Battenfeld booth at SHOT Show last week and they are bringing the Vibra Prime back. They said it should start selling at retailers in March.

I really don't understand why no one can come up with a feeder that just attaches directly... Stop with all the tubes...

Dillon probably has come closest with their auto primer tube filler. May not work well on presses where the magazine tube moves up and down though.

Why not just use a flex hose to the press?

It's easy enough for a primer to get stuck in a solid tube at times. I would hate to see it happen in a flex tube. I could forsee a system that is press driven and includes a transport disk like dillon's primer feed on the 650 as long as someone could figure out how to turn the individual primers right side up before filling tge transport disk from a hopper. As usual, there isn't a single issue that can't be resolved with the appropriate amount of money.

Yup, works great. 98 primers in the tube and it looks like it would take another 20 minutes of so for those last two.

For the money, I'll stick with extra primer pick-up tubes and a "Flip tray".

A tip to make that process quicker: Place one side of the flip tray against the open face of the primer tray. Invert and remove the primer tray. Then pick up all the primers that are flat side up. Then put the cover on, invert, remove the cover, and pick up the rest. No more shaking or having any primers pop over the edge to be eaten by the vacuum cleaner.

I load a full box of primers into tubes while sitting and watching the evening news. That gives me a thousand primers ready to go for a session.
