Lt 30 is pretty HOT. How much were you shooting.I pierced a 205M primer using LT30. Anyone else have this problem?

Bart, I was using LT-30 in my old Sako 6PPC USA single shot varminter and I think it was 26.5 grns and I was using one of your bullets, I think a 66 grn Ultra, but this happened just one time and I switched to remington or cci primers and it never happened again.
Dave,
As a general rule I’ve found Lt30 to run 1 grain hotter than LT 32 and 2 grains hotter than V133. Federal primers are some of the softer ones.
I have disintegrated primers with Lt30.

Is one better than the other?
I’ve shot a lot of both powders. I personally prefer LT 30. Sometimes Lt32 quits shooting and I haven’t been able to pin point why.

I don’t know if Id use the word simular to describe them. Lt32 when it’s working is a thing of beauty. I’ve shoot some of my best aggs with it. But there are times I can’t get it too Work. Lt30 has always worked for me without any dead spots. But it’s hotter! Some shooters are mixing the two of them LT31. I haven’t tried it personally. You’ll like either one of them. They are a lot easier to stay on top of then 133.Interesting. So, I suppose they are both very similar then?
