Versa-Brella cart umbrella

Went to shoot a Bench rest match this morning and it's a PITA shooting in the south Texas heat. Sun in the eyes and no shade. Good thing I had my kids umbrella and tied it down to my bench to some relief, no more glare or Sun on the eyes. We'll finished match and decided to search Google and EBay to find something more convenient to help out in this heat and to provide some shade. Ended up looking at a product call Versa-Brella seems to have a good clamp that will fit perfect on the Freeland Rods. Will give it a try when I receive it. Can also be used on tripods for them big Spotters.

Same here in Central Texas, get a beach umbrella, their bigger,:cool:,and of course cool shades.

Ive never been to a benchrest match that wasnt under a roof. We use a small umbrella modified with a clamp that fits on the edge of the bench for that first relay sun in the scope

Me either @Dusty Stevens .
I have a canopy fur table and cleaning. We use towels hanging from eaves to shade Sun early in the morn.
I've seen the umbrellas with attachments for a Bench. They sometimes get in the next shooters way ...be courteous !

I've used an umbrella for years on my shooting cart. It makes it tolerable on hot days. The only problem with mine is the wind can sometimes shake the cart.

243 Lapua, I have one of those umbrellas and they work ok for attaching to a wagon to keep rain or sun off your gear. If you want an umbrella to attach to the bench, you need the following 3 items, umbrella, 2 hose clamps, and woodworkers clamp. I will post a pic of how to put them together, you will be much more satisfied.

yeah the one you ordered the clamp does not open wide enough to fit 2-3” thick concrete benches. Made more for clamping on tubing like chairs wagons etc. It did work well covering my gear during the rain showers at the super shoot.

Umbrellas are great, many ways to adapt them .I use a small one like posted right on my bench for the early morning starts when the sun is low and in my eyes. At a couple matches we all use portable canopies and umbrellas,no roof can make it challenging.

I use a golf umbrella ($25.00 at Walmart) on my shooting bench and made a stand from 1 1/2" PVC pipe. Stand sits on my bench top, and handle fits inside of the 1 1/2" pipe.

Camo big golf umbrella here. I hunt a lot in the rain. When suiting up at the truck, open the driver door and little back door and open umbrella, which sits on top of roof/doors. Don't need it once hunting.

The pony F clamps above; the next level is 3/4" Pony pipe clamps.... use whatever length pipe you need. We use these right much in camp, horizontally to hang all kinds of stuff on.
