Velocity or weight?

Just ran 100 brass over the chrony to fireform. After recording each fps on each piece of brass then weighing them I saw no corelation between weight and speed. Has anyone done any more extensive testing to see which is more conducive to 1K accuracy?

The chrony was a Chrony. I fireformed .284 Winchester for 6.5-284 Winchester. I fired 5 shots let cool for 5 minutes fired 5 more then colled for 15 minutes.

Can't go by velocity really, cause the error will be near +-15fps...

IMO, the best solution is to put them on paper at at least 500yds to pick the "good" brass.

You might as well sort be the vel's have though since you went to the trouble of shooting them all, and using 8% of your good bore life

I know I know. Dont think I wasnt thinking about that the whole time but it was something I been wanting to do. They had to be fireformed anyway.
