velocity loss with varget

rifle is bat action bartlein barrel chambered in 6mm brx
aprox 1800 rnds down the tube
using the same load for two years[33.5 varget cci450 primer
with 107 smk bullets] always shot around 3050 fps
ran out of powder last fall [8# jug] purchased some one pound cans from various dealers this year
using the exact same loads, i can only get 2900 fps [varies between 2864 & 2915 depending on light conditions etc]
probably doesn't mean much at close range, but sure does at 1000 yds
checked my charge weights on three different scales, brass and bullets graded by weight. even tried wolf primers
also shot this load in a rem action, kreiger barrel with the same results
is this a normal loss of velocity due to a different lot of powder???
or could my barrels be wearing out

lot changes make a huge differance today, so many variables, the distributors, who makes their own?) say they are consistant but no, i have had the same problem with this and a number of other powders 2015, H4350,xmr4064 to name a few,

garbage in garbage out, no consistance, for any period of time.

go to Vitivori and they are cosistant, but do not produce the Vel in any caliber i have tried, pistol or rifle, they exagerate or use 30in barrels for their test.

a guy could wear out a barrel just trying to keep it on paper
looks like the answer is to buy powder a case at a time
[four 8#ers] wish i could afford to do it that way
wonder how much more varget i would need to get back to 3050fps
or shoot it where it is. 4moa at 1000 yds difference

don't know how accuracy is, i ran out of adjustment on the scope
at the last 1000 yd match at whitehorse
got that taken care of. speed is important as time of flight effects wind drift. if you don't think that means a lot, come on out to a 1000 yd match at whitehorse, West Virginia for a education

I think Bruno got a shipment of var get powder in. i no every new jug of powder i got i had to play with it to get it back where it was. have you tryed going up a half grain.

thats next on the 'what do i do now ' list
i have worked up a load using BLC#2 that looks pretty good
