I would prefer if you did... because I like options and I am sure it would be of great quality! Plus that would give me yet another reason to build just one more.... :)

Just buzz up a copy of the GRS Berserk and you will have a winner. Offer it both in the adjustable version and a fixed version as an entry level stock.

Tough Alex, you have got poor people trying to get by on a budget, and people with seemly endless disposable income.

Ya, no doubt. I make and do what I like, which should keep me solidly in the first group lol. I just made this one to try for 600/1000yd Benchrest. If I put drop in the butt if would be a good varmint stock too. Its the lowest stock I have seen, only 1/4" of wood under the barrel at the end. Barreled action centerline is below the top edge of the stock. It tracks awesome. new stock.jpg

That T2 has great ergos! Very similar to McMillan's A3, which has more of a 'rounded' feel to the grip:

Having a mild taper under the forend and butt allow for easy 'tuning' when shooting prone in the field. IMHO, much preferred to the flat/butthook style of an A5, T4, etc. If you're riding a bag on a table/bench, the flat butt might be the way to go?

GameScout with a fluted #4, and two A3s with Rem Varmints. Note the identical grip and tapered butt they share:

This stock reminds me of a Mcmillan Hunter Benchrest which I think is the ideal design for BR pedestal and or a bulls bag when sitting at a portable shooting bench. I would buy one of these stocks Alex.

For a walking Varminter I use sporter weight rifles with composite stocks because of the abuse they take. I emphasize composite - fiberglass or CF and not plastic.

Varmint hunters(IMO)are classified as walking or bench/ prone shooters. Primarily stationary as how PD or ground hogs typically get shot. Coyotes are the exception. I may call and walk if calling is the game. Hunting over carcasses for coyotes is much like PD/ground hog setups. For me my stock choice varies as well just do to weight. Fredo uses the Mac A3 as i do for most of my hunting including walking varmint guns but for the ground hog or PD setup, I personally prefer the heavier wide forearm bench type stocks. I'm Putting a Richards thumbhole target stock on my 22-250 Ackley build for a ground hog/ sitting coyote gun. The 8lb barrel and MTU contour fits this best
I'll also add weight to the rear stock just for balance. This is obviously not a walking gun but rather a bench/ prone type setup. It's mandatory to see that bullet make contact. Heavy makes that happen. Those are my two Varmint preferences. Attached is a Richards thumbhole thumbhole stock. This is not my gun but a picture of the stock I'm using for my new sitting varminter.

For high volume shooting where your mostly in one place I use an X bag filled with walnut shell media and a tactical type rear bag for gophers and rock chucks. It's pretty solid and fast. Most varmint type stocks like a Cooper, Sako, Remington work well with my set up. A medium beaver tail for end works great. Some angle on the toe line makes elevation changes easier.

I've used used front rests a few times but if you have a big angle change L, and I always seem to, they're just not as user friendly. The X Bag is fast and solid enough, especially with a rear bag of some sort.

As others have said you want something with angle in the toe and a rest is more hassle than its worth. I shoot off bags and I'm a big fan of the "tactical" style stocks. Mine are Manner's T2's and one Boyd's Pro Varmint (aka Tacticool).

I'm with the guys like Fredo. Walking/stalking/hunting I like a pistol grip, a high cheekrest, a place for my thumb but not a hole, a slight angle on forearm and butt. When I shoot groundhogs or from the rest, I prefer a flat wide front, and make do if the butt has a slope. I still like the old anschults (I cannot spell) sillohette type that made its debut on the Chevy Challenge rifles, and I always coveted richard Franklins wide/flat stocks...maybe called the 800 or such???, or like the one featured in his article here on AS, the 6mm AI groundhog rifle. Wow. Nice

I shoot Rockchucks here in SW Idaho. From a portable bench. Prone shooters usually end up with as many ticks as kills. And more cactus spikes.

IMHO, the standard HBR stock would be just about perfect, if you offered it with fore ends from 2 1/4 to 3".

Also, don't make the cheek piece so high that you have to bow your cleaning rod to use it. There are a lot of us that have a lot of Indian blood in us that make for high cheek bones...not a good thing on rifles or shotguns with high combs.

I've had my eye one a Richard's microfit Marksman stock in nice walnut. That style of stock has always been my favorite.
