Finally got all the parts together to do a run of bench kits. Just need to weld them and paint them and they will be done.

Been using this one for 20+ years......

They make a good solid table....

2 questions....

How thick is table top ? 1 1/2" on mine

What angle you cutting the leg pipe sleeves ? 15* angle shown

I'd only venture to guess how many p/dogs I've shot over my table in 20 yrs ;)

Leg brackets are 1.5 inch pipe. Leg angle is 22.5 degrees.

My kit will only be the brackets. I will make a page how to make the table. It's quite easy.

I used two sheets of 1 inch flooring plywood sheet from Lowes.

I haven't set the price yet. Thinking $60 a set.

Those look nice. I have similar set made with 1.25” collars and I just bushed them up to 2” because I didn’t have access to a 1.25” pipe threading die. I liked the extra weight for stability anyway.

I think 1.5 inch is just about perfect. I had my pipes made at True Value/Ace Hardware. It was super easy. I made two at once actually. That way I could use the entire sheet of plywood from Lowes.

They even cut the sheet into quarters for me at Lowes. All I had to cut was the belly relief cut. I laminated the sheets with liquid nails and screws from the bottom. I used screw bolts for the brackets and ran them in with my impact wrench. I think for these I might suggest using T nuts between the plys and then the fasteners would be hidden.

All in all it was super easy once I had the BRACKETS!!!! I barely did anything. The guy at Lowes that cut the plys did more work than me.

I did add several layers of Marine varnish later as the ply really doesn't like the weather. It does need a good sealing. Then I found I did not like the slick top on the next hunt. So, I did something pretty clever. I added another coat of varnish and sprinkled blasting sand into the varnish. Now it feels like a concrete bench top.

Yea Boy, that is a solid bench for sure!

I put handles on the front and one on the rear of mine.

Deep V notches on the left to hold guns that are stand up letting their barrels cool.

Brother put a magnetic tool holder on the left side of his....

When I take it to the pdog towns I just flip it upside down and drag it by the leg. It drags really easy actually.

We might do the pipe legs too, as a separate item. We will have to see pricing.
And shipping costs. Dim weight could expensive do to length of legs.
Something to think about.
Maybe a decal with appropriate angle to cut legs would be easier/cheaper to include with the brackets.

Nice looking welds.. I suppose the pipe will "bottom out" and make a "tight fit?"
For breakdown, a "pipe wrench" could be used for disassembly.. the bottom angle should be the same each time so the bottom legs could be cut to match the intended angle..

You don't cut the legs on an angle, they are standard threaded pipe. You just screw them in. The pipe thread is tapered, I just tighten them by hand using the cap on the end and they don't move. Greasing the threads keeps them from rusting.

$25 UPS

The legs are not an angled cut. The brackets are.

Just plain old black pipe threaded. You can order them from Home Depot also.
