Variations between Redding T7 presses?

Hi

I recently acquired another T7 press and I noticed today when I fix one of the turrets that have been setup on my old T7, the ram plus shell-holder is almost a centimeter too long.

Is this "normal"?

For those with multiple T7's and multiple turrets, do you also notice this - and do you just mark the turret so you know on which press it was setup?

It's my understanding each turret is matched to it's specific bushing to give the proper clearance. There is a procedure to hone down the bushing to tighten up the clearance. I've done it to my T7 and it really tightens things up, removing the turret rock/tilt. So each bushing is dedicated to a turret and not interchangeable if that might have happened. One centimeter is quite a gap.

I also had a problem with my T7 rubbing the bottom of the ram against the handle casting causing flex at the bottom of stroke. If you were to use it seating primers it would flex the ram .002" to the left at the bottom of the stroke. If your press is tight on the downstroke check for that.
