Redding T7, Forster Co-Ax, Dillon 550 650 F Class High Power Ammo?

I assume you full length size? I do also but to my understanding there is more neck tension and more working of the brass when you full length size. My thought for improving this is using a sizing mandrel. I also considered a neck sizing bushing die. Honestly don't know what the better method is.

I have a set of Whidden full length bushing dies coming in. It also comes with a sizing mandrel. I should have minimal neck tension this way.

On my 650 I'm tentatively thinking:

1. Size and bump shoulder 2. Prime, set neck tension with mandrel. 3. Drop Powder through funnel (weighed on chargemaster). 4. Powder check die since it's a dead station. 5. Seat bullet

I'm not sure if this is the best method. Until I actually try it will be hard to know where else to improve.

I'd second a Dillon 550 with a CNC machines tool head. I have an RCBS and a Harris turret. I chose the Harris over the Redding T7 because it's more compact and the tool head is CNC'd from billet.

I'm considering getting a Dillon 550. Turret is just too slow for .45ACP and even rifle.

I use an RCBS Rock Chucker, a T7, and a Co-AX. The RCBS is great on my magnums and the T7 is set up for midrange cartridges; 7-08, 257Ackley, and 243Ackley. The Co-Ax is wonderfully smooth but I have found that some dies will not fit. Even went so far as surface grinding the top of the die a little so they went into the Co-AX.

If I could have only one press, it would be the T7.

Trying to see if this thread still has a pulse after over a year!
Interesting to learn that long range competition shooters who need both high precision and high volume can get there with the Dillon equipment. For that perspective this has been enlightening. I've also come to appreciate the paramount importance of having the highest quality dies (although I guess I need to find other threads to find out the consensus on the best dies ... this WAS about the presses, so OK.) And some slop in the press seems to be what's best. I have a Forster CO-AX, which is well thought of but has a couple of issues that I'm familiar with. The many YouTube videos of guys with the Redding T7 have given me the "grass is greener" itch. So convenient. So sturdy. So STIFF looking! Certainly no slop in THAT bad boy.

I learned a lot here. Love this forum.
