Varget vs H4895 load

Good day I have a Varget load of 32.0 with a 108 gr bullet that shoots pretty good in my 6brai. I would like to shoot the same velocity with h4895 approximately where should I start ?

I’d start at 30.4 and work up in 2/10s at a time, with the longer bearing surface of the 108 you may run into pressure sooner than you think..

28” Krieger 4 groove 8 twist I was running 30.6 grains of H4895 at 2920. 7k into the lands.

Link, I plugged your data into QL and adjusted burn rate to match your 30.6 Load and reaching 3010 with H-4895 puts you overpressure. You should be able to run up to 31.3 which should give you an estimated velocity of 2975 fps. Once you get over 31.1 Gr's I would approach in very small increments and keep an eye out for pressure signs. Hope this helps some. I shoot H-4895 with 103 Vapor trails and 3010 is attainable without pressure with the current lot that I am shooting.
