That brass was made specifically to case form 7BR's for the XP-100 pistol. You might be better off selling it to someone who makes cases for the XP-100 and buying yourself some Lapua for the .308

I think it is rather thin necks and walls. It did not do well for me. It is pretty valuable to those who need it. I would probably sell it or trade it for Lapua.

Sell it! Make a post and ask others what the going rate is for the brass. You'll make enough money to buy some good Lapua or Winchester,when you can find it!)

It's like SooStan said it's thin neck and walls so when case forming way down to 7BR the brass has somewhere to go. I used it to make 7BR's way back when and it was a huge P.I.T.A. but that's what you had to do.

I checked the neck thickness and it's the same as winchester at .014, it looks annealed like the lapua brass and it does shoot very well! Most of it has been shot 2-3 times anyway. Now I only checked 3 of each and might have hit some thick or thin stuff?

What lot number is suspect?

My lot is 10-8-09,80108094654). I called Hodgdon too,spoke to Mike), and he said 'I have no record of an issue with that lot'. Not sure if that meant they do have issue's with other lots, or what. I have never had that issue with any other set of powders... but then again, this is my first attempt at loading for a super accurate bench gun. all other loads have been with hunting type rifles, and I do not expect as much from them, and would have easily dispmissed it as me not paying attention when squeezing a 3# trigger.

well... I shot the 30+ rounds this past weekend, and there were no grouping issues,or nothing was suspect as the wind was blowing 16mph quartering away). Groups were still around .50 at 100 yards. Not too bad considering I had a couple of goof balls running around the whole day we were shooting. But I was glad to have them there.
