Varget n the shelf for a huge price..

Varies a lot here too.

A guess there is the shipping cost
I’m guessing you are in Q’ld if you are shopping the Outpost, try Q Store at the Belmont range as they show AR2208 at $405.

That’s a pretty close encounter with that bear Lee. Great pic!
Yep and we had mommy bear 0ver the h00d 0f the car and 2 cubs almost as big as m0m 0n each d00r snapping their teeth at us and had a pic of dirty f00t prints 0n the h00d as well. Misses just g0t in and slammed the door shut and the bears where right there a couple secs later it was that close.

Was looking in Murdcks this week its here in Livingston, Mt. and is like a farm supply and a gun department added on the back f the store. Was shocked to see 8 LB. jug f Varget for $420. First I've seen a jug 0f that in a long time. This young grizzly was chasing my wife back into the car in YNP and 2 more following it. The pic is 0ut the windshield 0f the car. Yu never saw a 75 year 0ld granny run s0 fast in your life when she saw it charge her. We stopped by Yellowstone Lake t0 take a few pic's and without any warning these bears came charging 0ut f n0 where from the brush along side the r0ad. Made f0r a very exciting day. After it was all 0ver we fund 0ut there was a dead elk laying of the side of the road and when we st0pped we didn't kn0w about they came charging we see a lot 0f griz each year living 56 miles n0rth of YNP.

I don't use varget, but I do use IMR 8208XBR, saw it for A) the first time in years, B) $65 pound.....makes me chuckle as I stocked up when it was $27 to $31 a pound

How much have you reduced your shooting because of the price of components? I used to go through 1000 L rifle and 1000 S rifle a year along with 5000 shotgun primers. With the cost of shot and powder I have quit shotgun shooting completely and I'm not alone. 2000 rifle primers will last me 5 years. Three or four local trap clubs are shooting weekly and five or six are closed completely. All used to share 10 -15 (truck load) pallets a couple of times a year, now we are all buying from Runnings by the case. The "anti's" have pretty well won in WNY.

Yeah; it's funny until you run out and have to restock.

Pistol, not much, though I shoot pistol rather slowly anyway. Rifle I cut back from 50 rds per day to 25 ("per day" being each weekend day), as the cost of bullets (and associated PITA of ordering them) was getting to be too much.

Yes Hodgdon owns the whole world of powder distribution now. Their prices have more than doubled since 2022. Same but worse with the Primer manufacturers. I'm glad I have good stash.
I'm sitting on about 40k primers, but bought another thou at a gun show for $70. Federal, large rifle match. Cheapest I've seen, but before that I never paid over five bucks a hundred. Sad times

$5 a hundred? How long ago was that…?
My 450’s went up from $98 per K to $113 per K and I scoured two states to buy up all I could find following with a 3 year draught with none available for any price and now that they have appeared back on the market they are $335 per K…. {:~(
Fortunately I have about 3K left so it will be awhile before I need more but I dread having to take a 2d mortgage out to pay for them once I need more….
