Ya the 8 pounders are out of stock and you could only buy 2 8 pounders. Wouldn't waste my time buying only 16 pounds and paying the haz-mat and shipping on top of it.

Buy 2 8# and 20 1lb and you now have 36# that's what I did to offset the hazmat costs

James. I won't buy powder unless I can buy 6 8lb containers because that is the max amount that you can buy with one haz-mat fee. I am not going to buy one pounders because they charge more money for them. Then again I won't buy just 48 pounds, I usually buy 96 pounds so that I can have a decent amount with the same lot number.

but when you cant find varget and have to get raped by the lgs (only sell it in 1 lb cans at 37.50 a can) you order it bought 2 8lb bottles and the savings are well enough to offset the hazmat. i cant stand having to have to buy local here in Montgomery al. they are so over priced was in there the other day and they had my berger bullets i was looking for but 60.00 a box plus tax of course.

PV prices tend to be so much cheaper than local stores where I am that hazmat is sometimes nominal. Plus I've never seen an 8lbs jug of anything in a store here. One exception is our shotgun range orders shotgun powders some of which can be good for pistol.
