Values: New vs Nearly New

The real question is how bad do you really want it right now?

Frank
Not an emergency, but who knows when (or if) it'll be back in stock at retailers? And at what new inflated price?

Since it's a Ruger, I searched this forum for threads on Ruger customer service, and found many testimonials including about them repairing guns bought used, often for no charge, or even sending a brand new replacement. (Not unlike how Leupold used to be for their scopes.)

Based on that, I decided on a minimal discount for used vs new. This helped me arrive at my high bid on Gunbroker. I rolled the dice, and won the gun on my opening bid for $30 below my high bid. Never expected to snag it at that level. (One just like it sold recently for 5% more.) This gun is "as new", and even with the $35 shipping, $25 FFL fee (on this end) and $5 Gunbroker "compliance" fee, I saved $140 over new from Sportsman's Warehouse (store pickup, out of stock) and $120 over GrabAGun.com (delivered via FFL, out of stock).
