Sometimes that can backfire on ya.
For our 25 anniversary I gave my wife a sparkling new Sage flyrod and a Lamson Reel and a float trim on the Green River (and a couple girly things). She enjoyed the trip and hasn't used it but one or two times since (another 21 years) BUT she won't let me use it, it's hers durn it!!!!

don't for get your sweetheart , It might be a good investment . mine put up with me for 41 years ,she deserves something nice . help me with ideas , I thinking maybe a new gun , scope , bullets or rangefinder , but she don't hunt or shoot. help please. dave

My lathe and my milling machine don't expect anything different today. They never get jealous or in a bad mood. My lathe didn't mind that I brought home a smaller, faster model last week. They never complain when I go back and forth from one to another all night long. and when I'm done with them I turn them off and go to bed without a single word. Never a complaint.

Well, My wife of close to 58 years said we were having lunch at school with our 10 year old Great Grand Daughter. We also had lunch with our Grand Daughter in Law as she teaches in the same school.
This is Nannie with Ava.

Maybe you remember her as a politician on politician's day at school last year.

Do the Moonshine tour - we have so many legal distillery's now you could start in Asheville and zig zag all the way through the hills for a week.

My DAD always spiked Grandma's mincemeat pie with brandy. Grandma never drank but got kind of goofy after Xmas dinner

Went to VA for blood draw today, they were giving out nice chocolate roses and a nice homemade card from some children. Brought the card and rose home and gave them to the wife. Got me off the hook even though she new were they came from

I really dropped the ball today, she said she wanted nothing so I delivered. Busy day working and she mentioned dinner, i was running to get parts and forgot about that and grabbed lunch on the run. Got home in time to enjoy her grouchy glare while i ate it. Lol

Don't know man, you would have to bring me some to try. Don't know if your southern, but old boy's here really got it to an art. Though moonshine is not an exclusive southern thing, it seemed to flourish in Appalachia. There are still hollers here the feds leave alone. Gets so narrow it's a killing zone, but stills ain't the worry anymore..... it's the trailer park meth.

Nothing work's better than a Poem you write yourself. Every year a different theme with her in mind of course. and a nice dinner, That's it.
10 min writing the poem, and you get to eat at your favorite place. Women like something you put a little effort into, but it only take's 10 mins to write a short poem from the heart and it doesn't cost anything and you don't have leave the reloading room. She look's forward to my poem's more than anything else I can give her.

That's my point,It doesn't take any talent, the point is it came from you and you put the effort into it that counts.
