I recently put the fixed 36X BR scope on an F-TR rifle. IMO - it's just about perfect, absolutely beautiful glass, outstanding reticle, tracks very well, and only weighs about 22 oz. I haven't yet encountered a situation using it in really heavy mirage, which might be the only downside with the fixed magnification.
