V4 trickler problem

Sounds like the the AutoTrickler and A&D scale aren't talking to each other.
I would suggest powering down the scale, removing the small DC charger from its AC outlet, and disconnect the clip which connects scale to the trickler. Wait a few seconds. Then reconnect the clip connecting the scale and the trickler, making sure it is firmly seated. Plug the DC charger back into the outlet. And then power up the scale.

one other thought are you using the correct power supply - i.e. the new one that comes with the v4?

It also could be that you need to add the little jumper cable. If it's not physically connecting then sometimes the V4 needs you to connect the jumper. Instructions are in the instructions, it's easy.
