Using very old primers

A friend gave me about 6000 cci large rifle magnum primers. The shipping date on the box says 1994. They have been in either a basement or a non climate controlled garage. Use them or not. I had a lot of velocity spread in a 338LM load work up and was curious if they may be the culprit. I may have not reached a good load yet on r33.

Very difficult to say with no verifiable storage info. I have been using some early 80's era Federal 210Ms with excellent ES and SD numbers and accuracy to boot. Try another powder just for good measure?

Seems r33 likes full capacity from what ive read. Gonna try 97gr. Been working up without pressure signs so far. Shoulda went with retumbo. May pick up some fresh primers and start over.
