I few years ago, I bought a Panda-actioned Silhouette rifle chambered in .243 w/ .267 ND. It was built by Bond Custom and featured a typical Silhouette-type stock. I bought the rifle for the action and already had some Panda barrels and had Dusty Stevens put a McMillan stock on it for BR shooting. I currently shoot it with a Dasher barrel and a 6PPC barrel. Both barrels shoot well. Since I don't have brass, etc. for a tight neck .243, I have not shot the .243. The barrel is presently just short of 26 inches and features a Silhouette-style diameter for the last 4.5 inches. (1.050 "). My question is could this be used as a long range BR barrel if the tenon is removed and rechambered to 6BR, 6BRA, or Dasher? The barrel would then be about 24 inches long. I realize that this may be a crazy idea since I do not know the round count, but this gives an old man something to think about. LOL
