US Rifle Team

It's called Magpie Alley because you're likely to cop an unexplained "magpie", ie a 3 out of five in the conventional local scoring system. Those targets are close to the edge of a hill and the wind is definitely more tricky down that end, especially when shooting 300yds

Here are the results for Feburary 1,2019...9 US shooters in the top 50 in the individual...a first place by a US shooter in the Under 21...a 7th place for the high USA Veterans shooter...15th place for the high Under 25 shooter...it's a great showing for the USA...

Does anyone know if the 3 individual palma matches are string fire or 2 or 3 to the mound.
Hopefully Eric will see this and let us know.

I had always heard that the wind in NZ could be gruesome and the scores are certainly confirming it.

Look at the points dropped in the 10 man shootoff. Those are the 10 top shooters taking a pretty good pounding.

Ok, here are the posted individual finals...the top ten shooters went head to head in a final 1000 yd match...USA has 6 shooters in the top 50...The awards list shows some extra luggage coming back to the USA...Great shooting by all...thank you shooters, for your dedication...

Going to be exciting to see what the conditions are going to be for the World Team Matches! Coaches are going to have their hands full!
