I purchased a 6 BRA with 50 FB and 272 neck from Brad at Urbanrifleman. I put it on a Curtis Axiom action (it needed to be turned to fit) in a Bergara HMR stock and a Leupold 4x16 on top. I used the Tubb break in system and shot load development yesterday for the first time. New Lapua brass, BR4, 95 Berger VLD, Varget 29.0 to 30.0 in 2 tenth increments and .010 jump. 29.2 & 29.4 produced groups just under 3/8" at 100. Thanks to Brad for his help. Pictures to follow.

I didn't zero it, 25 degrees that day. Sorry about the blurry photos.

Sweet!!

Do not be afraid to try 20 jam with those. Either way a seating depth test would really be eye opening.

What needed to be “turned to fit”? Thanks!

The back of the tenon had to be cut flat and the counterbore removed. The bolt face on a Axiom is different than a Rem. 700.

I have that same Bergera stock and was wondering how your barrel fit the barrel channel. I might have to get one of those barrels…

Sorry it took so long, been a long winter, finally got above 32 and someone plowed the range. Since I posted this I cut the barrel to 22" ( I have a South Bend 9 with a steady-rest---yes I did dial it in coaxailly). I hadn't shot 87s in this rifle before, so (these where new Lapua- not fireformed) I loaded 6 different charges with 2 different bullets and 2 different lengths (by ogive). I put on a NF scope so the first 5 were to get it close. Looks like it didn't affect the accuracy to cut it short (too heavy for this old guy). These are inexpensive bullets, not Bergers.
Thanks again to Brad art Urbanrifleman.
