UrbanRifleman and B and L BarBQ

I have had this dream in the back of my mind since I started my company. I wanted to have the Urbanrifleman shop on Main Street somewhere in a little town. Maybe in the hills. Tennessee or Arkansas. Someplace old. Where they still love Jesus. And the air is clean. There are no weed dispensaries, liquor stores or casinos. The people are simple.

We would have the shop and a few days a week we would line the sidewalk with picnic tables and serve BBQ for the townsfolk until all the meat was gone. Maybe have some bluegrass pickers. Sounds corny I suppose. H

Then I met my wife and she is like a professional level baker. And I told her my dream.

So, B and L BarBQ and Homemade Pies was born. :)

We are going to start looking. Maybe we will find a place. It's all in fun. But... Maybe. You never know.

We used to have it right here. Texan tourists and weed shops everywhere...even up in the mountains. crazy.
I sacrificed a lot of wealth to live and work in one of the 2 poorest counties in the state--now i dont even like it here. feel sorry for my kids

Lots of beautiful small towns in eastern KY and TN. Ky gets overlooked a lot due to stigma but a tiny percentage is even remotely similar to how it's portrayed. But yes, it exists. Just not at all like Hollywierd makes it out to be. Some of the best people and friends live in east ky and tn. Overall, it's a great area and lots of good shooting, hunting and fishing opportunities. I too love the Smokies but eastern Ky is even prettier than the more popular areas thought of as the Smokey Mountains.

Native Americans knew weed grew wild long before there were any dispensaries.

So basically God put it here, states get there tax money and the only reason it’s a federal offense is because the liquor companies influence on politics.

Best wishes towards your new venture.

Aaahhh Anslinger and the devil weed.
In the early 2000's Tennessee was the largest producer of cannabis in the country even out producing California, just a lil food for thought.
As for Bar-b-que I wish we had more available, but sadly we have 5 dispensaries in our small town of 2000 and less places to get something to eat.
Eastern Kentucky has been on my radar, folks can still get a decent piece of land in beautiful country for not a whole Lotta $$.

You just have to watch that piece of property 24/7. Agree it is a charming area and the hills are beautiful. Lots to pick you blind. The price is still right though. Just don't go to town. LOL

My roots run deep where I am, in south central ky...a few minutes west of Bowling Green. Been in the family since 1929. Pretty big difference between how the land lays, east vs west of the cumberland plateau region that is just to my southeast. Land prices here are crazy due to both housing development and right here has farm land quality that is right there with some of the best in the US...just not near as much of it as in Iowa, Illinois, etc. But go east of me and land is not as good for farming and still quite affordable...comparatively speaking at least. Really, I think eastern ky is the prettiest area anywhere in the US, particularly if you don't care for extreme winters of the northeast. Still pretty mild winters here. It gets cold but not for a long time.
