Or Aurora, CO.More info, as I stated in the OP, both ends of the box were taped with clear packing tape. It looked like a 3 year old did the taping. Box was damaged on one end. Boyds does not tape their boxes. The stocks are stapled into self locking boxes. The mystery object weighs right at 2#. About a pound short of the stock I ordered.

It fits a HenWayGot a box from Boyds that was supposed to have a stock in it for an airgun build. I had a sinking feeling as I peeled off a bunch of packing tape off a damaged box end. I opened the box and this is what was inside:

I agree with the sentiment. But I also think nothing will change until some other company comes along that will not only do it better, but cheaper. Most people are more interested in cost than anything else.When shipping the volume of parcels that UPS, FedEx and USPS handle there are going to be some issues. We see more shipping issues now more than ever because with shipping and other industries it seems there is a huge lack of pride in doing the job correctly. Add, that companies no longer care about the customer and you have the disaster we have now. Mike T 49 paid for a service and did not receive that service. He upheld his end of the deal. The shipping company should bend over backwards to make it right but they probably won’t and if they do make it right they will probably make it a PITA. It’s almost like collusion within the shipping industry but instead of the pricing it is taking responsibility for damages or loss. I guess they look at it as if no one is paying we don’t have to. They collect money for insurance they never intend to pay. Someone should sue the whole darn lot of them for fraud. It seems doing the right thing is a thing of the past.
Dang! I was hoping it was worth something to make up for the lost stock which I suspect in the end I will not be compensated for. Add to that a bunch of wasted time talking to customer services. Time is money. AAAaaaaarrrrrggGH!!
