Upgrading firing pin and spring for Mauser 98

I wonder if I i can shorten lock time on a Persian Mauser 98 action. I am going to build 6.5x55 with this action. This Mauser action has sentimental value to me and I decided to use it rather than buy a modern one. It is not a sledge hammer like my Chileano 95 Mauser, but still feels little too heavy compared to my Cooper 22! What would be good replacement spring and firing pin and where to buy this stuff? Thank you

I put a Speedlock firing pin and spring in mine, and it makes a huge difference. The spring is stronger and the firing pin assembly is a small fraction of the mass of the original. It's well worth doing.

Brownells has what you want.

w123driver,
Did you change the trigger? I'm not real sold on speedlocks. To overcome the inertia lost that came with the heavier firing pin, you have to use a heavier spring. I am not convinced that it is the answer.
