I thought I would share some great news with those located in the frozen Northern Plains and those willing to make the drive someday to have their own “Warehouse†shooting experience.
The Red River Regional Marksmanship Center (RRRMC) located in West Fargo North Dakota is the premier “Public Access†Indoor Shooting Facility in the Northern Plains area. The RRRMC hopes to soon open the doors on its new addition, a separate underground rifle range facility. Yes an UNDERGROUND RIFLE RANGE.
To the best of my knowledge, this new underground facility will feature:
6 – 100 meter lanes within a stabilized protected environment.
• 3 of the lanes will have electronic targets and 3 will have traditional indoor range type target carriers.
• A combination of fixed heavy benches and the movable benches to permit position shooting (standing, kneeling, sitting and prone).
• The ability to set up and use your chronograph.
• The firing line will be environmentally/temperature controlled and individually divided lanes (typical indoor range lane dividers
• The separate lobby area behind the firing line will feature an area that will permit reloading so you can develop and fine tune your loads on the spot.
• Both female and male bathrooms.
• An ADA approved/certified Accessible Lift for those in need.
• Fulltime NRA RSO oversight.
This fantastic public facility hopes to have fully opened the doors by spring 2014. There have been some setbacks in the construction schedule due to heavy fall rains and early (& extreme) freeze ups causing delays.
Regarding membership and fees, there will be 2 levels of membership and then “walk-in†public fees. It is primarily and always will be a public use facility and affordable for all. If interested, for further information on the RRRMC simply google “RRRMC West Fargoâ€
