Unwelcome visitor.

PA game commission adhemently proclaim " there are NO mountain lions in PA!!!"
Any pictures of one were taken in another state!
The couple that had been shot, the people were accused of illegally bringing it in from another state.

NY DEC also says "No mountain lions". (Yes I know that photo is b-cat). But I investigated a horse attack in which the horse got claw marks on both sides of the rib cage, nearly down around the "barrel" 3/4 of the way to mid sternum. DEC said bobcat.

Must have been a bobcat with arms longer than mine!

Bobcat is gonna bobcat. Good luck getting rid of him. We got them on our place in MO too. Had one sneak up on me deer hunting, He saw me lift my binoculars from 100 yards away, abet I was sitting on the ground under a tree, not in a tree stand. He looked me straight in the eyes through the binoculars and bolted. Saw him maybe 10 seconds before he bolted for cover.

I would love to have the time to hunt them... would be quite the challenge.

We have quite a few bobcat here in PA. If you look at that picture you will see the white on the backside of its ears and on the underside of its tail. When you see one in the woods that white sticks out like neon. I have gotten quite a few pictures of them on trail cams. The first one I saw in person was less than 10 feet from me, we made eye contact for maybe 15 seconds as I was trying to feel for my camera behind me. We started at each other, I glance back and it instantly was gone as soon as I broke the eye contact . They like to walk on horizontal logs in the woods, I suppose to see better with the elevation. I always try to set camerals with a downed log in view. Thats how I have gotten most of my pictures. Once I set out cameras about 3 miles aparto logs. Firstn a large tract of St Gamelands, both with logs in view. First week I got bobcat on both cameras. Pretty animals.

This one spends his life now just sitting around. He made the mistake of coming to the sound of coyotes fighting.

Just like there are no wolves below the bridge in MI.

Arizona is getting more and more cats too, we’ve always had bobcats, Mtn lions, ocelots and a Jaguar once in awhile but with the recent restrictions on lion hunting with shorter seasons and harvest limits per each unit their numbers are increasing noticeably. Wild cats are majestic creatures in my opinion, very efficient predators and I wouldn’t want them getting prolific in my hunting area, still better than wolves that kill for the fun of it and move on.

That's where over the years I whacked my majority, brother lives near superstitious mountains and has thousands of acres he's acquired over the years to hunt. Very easy to call in,and thin skinned easily dispatched.
