Unusual request - hire NF scope

This is unusual but thought I would throw it out there anyway?
My wife and I are flying to the US in late Sept to prepare for competing at the US F Class Nationals 2015.
AS we are continuing on to the UK etc we are not travelling with our rifles.
Rather I am using a couple of Barnards which are over there.

As we may not return until the next year I can't justify 2 expensive scopes just sitting there for once a year use.

Would anyone be prepared to hire me [ideally 2 but one would help] NF Comp II with FCR1 from late Sept until end of Nationals at Ben Avery.
I could return the scopes at Ben Avery or post within US?
I will be using NF rings and Barnard rails so there will be no ring marking.
Always treat my gear very well.

Any help greatly appreciated

By " hire" I suspect you mean "rent". You're not planning on giving jobs to the scope (s), are you?

All English speaking nations are separated by a common language ;)

For example, in the U.S. if you told me you were pissed I would take that as meaning you're upset/butthurt. In the UK if you told me you were pissed it would mean you're drunk.

Given the context, yes.. it looks like he would like to "rent" a scope.

If I say "rent" - will that help?
Anyone out there willing to help ?
Might make it a cheap NF for anyone considering purchasing one?
U buy scope - I "rent" it for 6/7 weeks for a sum?
How about I say $350 each rent?
Any interest?

Thing is that nobody knows who you are and willing to part with a$2000.00 scope. I would do it if I have knowledge of who you are. Yes you are asking a lot of anyone to do such a huge favor!! I wish you the best of luck.

I understand the comment and I thought anyone interested could PM me to begin to fill in the blanks and begin a dialogue.
FWIW I was part of the Australian F/TR Team to Raton in 2013.

As to bringing in my scopes - it is possible but also a large hassle!
I have to arrange an export permit for them to leave Australia and I don't know the legalities of importing into the USA?
On top of that we plan to travel onto the UK after the shoot and through HK on way home.
Any of these countries could cause difficulties even travelling with scopes only?

OK, just thought I would throw out the reverse angle!
Is there any interest to purchasing NF Comp scope after only 6 weeks use at discount?
I will buy the scopes (FCR 1 Comp II 15-55) and use them for 6 weeks or so and could deliver them at end of Nationals at Ben Avery this year.
Thanks for your consideration in advance.
I will open a similar query on the Optics for sale forum soon.

Shane,
If I had one I would let you use it no charge. I have some very good friends in OZ, but unfortunately do not have what you need.

I do not have one myself, I wonder if you called Nightforce and see if they can arrange something or maybe a dealer can hook you up with one and take it back and sell it as a demo model.

I have one with the FCR-1 reticle and I'm wanting to buy another. If you were to buy one and use it for your matches, I would buy it from you if you discount it by the $350 you propose for rent.

Hi LR Goodger - PM sent

Hello Butch - we had some direct correspondence several years ago you may recall.
I bought some Pod Paws off you quite awhile ago! Good product.
Also use a couple of your tuners which i bought off of Stuart Elliot.
Keep well
