Can someone with wildcat experience help me? I have found a rifle that has the barrel stamped 6MM ELLSWORTH. The chamber appears to be a rimmed cartridge. I was thinking it was the 6MM round based on the .303 brit cartridge, I believe it was called the 6MM Mourrin,sp), it was developed in Africa for shooting mid sized game animals at long distances. Does anyone know of another 6mm Rimmed Cartridge? I can find nothing online about it.
