Unknown Die.

Hi all,

This is my first posting, as I need some help identifying a die for the first time in decades.
I received this die recently in a Auction LOT. Can anyone identify?

Die is standard 7/8 - 14 TPI. Inside diameter is tight to a 32 gauge shotshell. No markings of any kind. Blackened steel. Push rods fit snug and slid in center hole. Hole offset on top is same thread as rods and same depth as rod thread. like a holder for extra rod.

The only thing I recognize is the red wad guide fingers for a shotgun shell loader
 
Now off-topic: Your post did lead me to some info I didn't know:

From Wikiwand (which I had never heard of):
Several other gauges may be encountered but are considered obsolete. The 4, 8, 24, and 32 gauge guns are collector items. There are also some shotguns measured by diameter, rather than gauge. These are the .410 (10.4mm), .380 (9mm), and .22 (5.5mm); these are correctly called ".410 bore", not ".410-gauge".

The .410 bore is the smallest shotgun size which is widely available commercially in the United States. For size comparison purposes, the .410, when measured by gauge, would be around 67- or 68-gauge (it is 67.62-gauge), The .410 is often mistakenly assigned 36-gauge. The 36 gauge was in fact a .360 diameter cartridge which was 1.5 inches (38 mm) in length and is now obsolete.

I had thought of a powder checker, but it was fleeting and I forgot to follow up on my thought.
Then I concentrated on the red/orange wad guide looking thing, and my thoughts turned to a shotshell loader.

Kmart,

All I can figure with the red wad guide fingers for a shotgun shell loader is to skim the rod and keep powder off it from maybe static accumulation.

I do have a couple boxes of 9mm Winchester shothells. I think they are still available from one of the foreign ammo makers. They are for my Mod36 Winchester. Can't reload them as they are rimfire.

I wonder if it would replace the wad guide on old 12ga mecs..??? They have gone to a different style and now their black and the old 12ga orange ones are impossible to find... I need to look into it because I have got an old MEC I just replaced with a sizemaster that desperately need one.... It would probably be to small...

I have a spare for an old 650 Mec if you think that would work. Also, if you just need the fingers, the one used on my old Pacific 366 looks quite similar and spares can be bought from Hornady.
 
Ok thank you , I will check on them... It's no big deal just a spare now that I have gotten the size master I like it alot....
 
The finger guide is in the base of the die to center the case and rod. The little button on the rod should be below the finger guide.
