Unitized Remington 700 Scope rings. What's out there

I've been using the Nightforce 700 direct mounts, and think they're great.

However, I'd like something just a touch lower for a 700 long action. 30mm, 20 moa would be nice, lower than 0.885" (the NightForce low height). Who else makes one piece Remington 700 mounts with some low options?

I've looked through DNZs product lineup, and think very highly of them especially for what they costs, but they don't quite make the combo I am looking for. I believe the NightForce A219 comes in at 0.885" to scope centerline.

I've tried separate base and rings, and I can never get the scope low enough for my liking.

Just a little lower would be perfect

If you have to have a uni-mount, you won't get any better than Near MFG.
For a 2 piece, go with Hawkins.

Boy, where to begin. Many companies offer one piece base ring combo set ups. Weaver, Leupold, Spuhr, American Defense, Midwest Industries, Burris, Warned and Talley to name ones of the top of my head. I'm sure there are some other specialty companies offering also

I've tried separate base and rings, and I can never get the scope low enough for my liking.

Talley lightweight rings are 2-piece, but the base is integral with the bottom ring half. The extra-low for Rem 700 is just 0.300" from the top of the receiver to the bottom of the ring, which appears to be less than the scope mount you have now. The Talleys go up in 0.100" increments all the way to 0.700".

For a hunting rifle, I agree that having the scope bell close to the barrel is good thing. These are low (0.400") Talleys with a 42mm objective (Sightron 6.5-20x42) and a Remington varmint contour barrel. The photo doesn't show the gap between the barrel and the scope, but it is about 0.060".

I've got Talleys on my Tikka and yeah, they're nice.

Current rings are 0.885"-15mm = 0.29"so interestingly enough the Talleys are not lower.

Are they for a specific rifle or a Picatinny/weaver rail? My problem is that once you add the picatinny rail with 20 MOA to a scope rings (unitized or not), the combined height is too high even with the lowest of rings.

Oh I see. I believe they are all designed to be mounted directly to the action. You'd have to research that thru the companies individually. I just know there are literally several companies that design direct mount one piece base ring designs.

Yeah, I can find several options for direct 700 mounts (unitized or not)

The trick is finding this combo
20 MOA
30 mm
Preferable 4 screw caps and a lug that engages the recevier (going on big magnum)
~0.75 top of receiver to scope centerline height.

Here's what I've found so far for Remington direct mounts

DNZ (too high)
Leupold Back country (too high, and no 20 MOA option)
Talley (too high)
Nightforce (Lowest one I've found and has 20 MOA. Oh so close. Currently what I have and does work)
Near MFG (looks to be exactly what I am looking for. Custom made to your height and actually cheaper than the NF)

The lowest I believe that you can get with common base+rings is ~1" to the optic center. I would like ~0.75"
