I am putting together a 700 s/a r/h in 257 roberts. Im looking for a stock but want something that is out of the “norm” must haves would be; light weight, BDL or DBM bottom metal. I would prefer wood but would consider composite or fiberglass. I like the looks of the old Fajen Mauser type stocks with the flared grip, schnable fore end, rolled over cheek piece etc. An in-letted blank would be preferable as well as a mannlicher style stock. A straight grip stock would be considered as well. It wouldn’t need to be in A1 condition just something I could work with and make it my own.
I have been searching E-bay and gun broker and figured I would see whats available here. If anyone knows where I could get a quality in-letted blank from please advise. I’l post some pics of things that catch my ey. As always thanks for looking.
