Unimpressed with lightweight 6.5mm bullet selection.

Maybe it's just me, but for all the praise the 6.5mm's get, it seems like it's only true assuming you're using a 130-142 match grade bullet. But I'm more interested in trying to find a lighter, varmint style bullet. Right now I utilize the 95gr Vmax with great success, but I would like to see a 100-115gr hollow point. Maybe we can get Eric at Berger to make up some 110gr VLD MEF bullets?

I believe Lapua and Berger have just released new 100 grain boat tail match bullets.

It looked like both the Lapua and Berger's were flat based. And neither of them with a hollow point. I'm looking for more of a low richochet groundhog and coyote bullet.

Try the Sierra 100gr Varminter bullet, stock # 1710

This bullet has been exceptionally accurate for me in a Rem 260 and 6.5x55, and many other shooters report outstanding accuracy as well. Plus this bullet is fairly inexpensive.

With the Sierra 100 gr HP in my 6.5X55 at 3200 fps it is a tack driver and it will scatter a ground hog all over the field when hit.

I've been using the Win. Match 85gr. H.P. for about 20yrs. Very Accurate.

also recommend the sierra 100HP. super accurate in my 264 win mag and 6.5x55. shoot everything from groundhogs to deer with them.
