Under your rear shooting bag/rest?

Back in the day I had a little non skid "mat" I used under my rear bag. It helped keep the bag from moving under recoil. I shoot off a smooth concrete bench top.

Just wondering if people still use these little lift raft looking things?

Thanks guys.

I use an Edgewood dead bottom.

I use one of these- it seems to help stabilize the rear bag.

I had a deal made by Protektor for My DR bag. I have since cut a
1/8th" piece of non skid rubber and cemented it to the full bottom
and trimmed. Wished I did it years ago.....

Purchased this self-adhesive non-skid material from Lowes. Holds pretty good on wood and concrete so far. The black spray on rubber paint worked well for awhile until it began to peel off.

I shoot F class, so not from a bench. Firing points all vary on the ground, some slope back. So I have several pieces of 3/4 plywood cut to stack if needed. I gave them a light coating with the spray on Flexseal, to prevent shifting. Sometimes I need to raise my rear bag with a couple blocks if I can’t get front rest low enough.

I use a piece of carpet sample, cut to fit my custom shooting bench for critters and also works well at the range. some carpet maybe a little more or less 'slippery'. I also have a block or two if I need a little height.

The best one I've ever used had a piece of 3/16s stainless steel glued to the bottom of the bag that was just about 1/4 inch bigger all the way around the bag. It made the bag sit super flat and stable. I doubt it would be legal in any form of competition, but it sure did work well.

I need to make something like that.
Where I normally shoot it’s often bumpy and my bunny ear bag I like to use for my 338 is sometimes hard to get settled.

I use a 10mm steel plate. I have my bag on the mat, so the weight keeps it steady. The SEB bag grips pretty good.
