Don't go with the $60-$90 dollar chinese units like hornady's. They appear to all be made by the same company, and they're pretty gutless.

I've never tried a good ultrasonic cleaner. But I wouldn't buy my cleaner over again.

I have two ultrasonic cleaners and a stainless media cleaner.

Stainless media is the best! Both are about as messy to deal with. You have to make sure all of the carbon is out of the shell base, if you look with a flashlight, you will see carbon buildup next to the flash hole.

No matter what method you go with, the inside must be "perfectly" dry before reloading!

One of the best is Branson, Keep watching Ebay and you can run into one for less than a $100. I have a model 5210 and it works great. You don't need the heater option.

Agree again. Crest makes a very fine unit and heated makes all the difference in the world.

L&R makes many different sizes for what you would need, keep an eye on ebay, used 2 gal. models go in the $175-$250 usually.

I have an older (25 yrs. +) 4 gal. one with heat that cost me $250 years ago and it's still going strong.

Mine came from a dental office it says Henry Schein on the front of it (don't know who actually makes it) and it gets brass clean inside and out, not pretty but clean! I use half vinegar half water.

I use an Elma E30H. It's a heated unit with a reasonably powerful transducer, plus I bought an adapter cover that lets me use 600ml beakers to hold the brass during cleaning. Works quite well for me. The going rate for a new one looks to be around $400.

I have a Hornady and one other ultrasonic. Now I use stainless tumbling media and I will never go back.

Harbor Freight has carried 2 sizes in stock for many more years than the ones that Hornady & others came out with. Both are under $100. The standard reloading companies are pretty much these with thier name on em....still made in china though.
