According to their literature, they use 4340 instead of 4140 or one of the Stainless Steels.
4340 offers more ductility at an equal RC hardness, but as for being “stronger” than 4140 or 17-4, that would be debatable. It is, however, measurably stronger in all aspects to 416 Stainless.
