Ultimate reloading bench

Lots of storage room! Look below both sides of the bench. I load on the short leg, clean rifles on the long leg. The loading area has a "sit down" countertop ledge facing me, the long leg has it facing the other way so I can sit and work on things from the other side. The press is a plain old Rockchucker, several powder measures are around, the main scale is an older Ohaus electronic, but there's a mechanical for backup. The brown toolbox has everything needed to reload at the range.

Hey, I cleaned it up for the pictures!

Yes, it does get cluttered sometimes and right now I'm in the middle of a primer project that has me going back and forth to the range a lot so stuff is everywhere. What the pictures don't show is another storage cabinet with all sort of dies, measuring tools, etc. that are really essential to what I do.

I just helped a friend set up a reloading bench in a corner of his closet. He has everything he needs to make quality ammo. All the extra goodies we use and the space they take up is part of the hobby, but not essential. I just don't want a non-reloader who sees this to think that this level of space and tooling commitment is necessary.

I want to see your reloading bench Catshooter. I have heard you talk about the "artifacts" you find underneath the rubble.

Can't show it now... there is a large group of archaeologists camped out there looking for artifacts from Custer's last stand - so far they found 5 boxes of original 45-70 Gatling gun ammo, and four dead Indians

That's a gag of sorts. Veritas means truth, Hop Up is a car magazine that made the sticker. www.hopupmag.com In Hop Up is the Truth is a decent translation.

Hey Catshooter one of my anscestors on my mothers side who served in the cavalary during the civil war went onto serve in the 7th cav. after the war and was killed with Custer at the Little Big Horn.

Hey... there's hope yet.

He might be under my loading bench!

I don't know if there's an ultimate bench, But, I have an unusual one. A reloading cabinet really. Before I took up real shooting, I loaded in the garage. As the time at the bench increased due to competitive shooting, that really became a problem as I live in Phoenix. I don't have a room/secluded area in my home to reload. To load in the AC, the bench had to be something we would have in our house, close up and be lockable. So here's what I came up with:

Here's mine......started off with just one small table. After a move, I added multiple tables but tired of the cluttered look. This past winter, this room was remodeled with new paint, wallpaper and benches. Nothing fancy here, just 4x4, 2x4 and plywood. The one pic shows one of my little helpers. He and his sister love helping me seat bullets!
