Need reloading bench Recommendation

Harbor Freight has the following for $130. If you find the right coupon at the right time, you can have one for $100. Mine has help up for close to 10 yrs. I added some shelving and it meets all my needs. Good luck.

My work bench is from Harbor freight as well, the only problem is he's limited to 45" and the harbor Freight unit is 60". Great table though.

I used some 2X12's for the top of one of my benches. 2x4 frame and 4x4 legs. It is bolted to the wall and earth quake proof. If you want a smoother top just add some 3/8" or 1/2" plywood to the top and glue and screw it down to the 2x12's. You can build shelves under it.

I purchased two of these kits.

Make the top size anything you want. Extremely stable when fully assembled. All you need is a powered screw drive and something to cut the wood you purchase with.

Want to sit at the bench? Make the center shelf out of what you cut off in length from a sheet of plywood. Then the center shelf ends up only taking up a portion and offset to the back and you can sit on a stool with your feet on the lower shelf.

If you buy through E-mail you can get them for the same price with pillars that go on top of the bench. Use the narrower sheet cut from the second sheet of plywood for the top and put a sheet of peg board behind.

I went full 8 feet in length, but 32" Deep with two 18" pieces left for each bench. One for the top of the pillars and one for the middle shelf.

+1 for the 2x4 basics. They make add on shelves too. Here is their website. http://www.2x4basics.com/

If you need to purchase instead of building, for whatever reasons, just make sure the ends at which your press will be used can take the pressure of using the press.

Check your local newspaper for sales and auctions for desks/furniture from companies going out of business. Consignment stores is also a good bet.

The kits I bought came with the stands for the shelves and easily support a 8 x 2 sheet of peg board for a back above the bench.

I am looking for a new reloading bench. My new garage has limited space therefore the new bench needs to be limited to a table top of 46 inches in width or less. Table depth and height are not a real big limitation. I do not mind spending more money for a better quality table. Any advice or links would be much appreciated.
Concrete pillars with a top anchored to the legs ,,,,I like heavy

After reviewing a few reloading bench threads I got all fired up and decided to push the Go bottom on my reloading bench that I have been procrastinating on building for a couple of years.

Design has been finalized and periodically revised, Wood has been dimensionalized, Pencils have been sharpened, and Mistakes have been made... but carefully covered up. I will be able to park my truck on this...no rocking will occur.

The final dimensions for my bench will be 96'' L x 30" W x 36" H. The bench top is a maple butcher block 2" thick that I bought years ago for a similar project that went a different direction. The lower cabinet will be divided into three (3) section of drawers. I plan to use the full-extension drawer slides. Overhead, I will place a set of cabinets with sliding doors to avoid height clearance issues with my presses.

For those who "must know"...the Pink in the backdrop is a bed sheet from my daughter that I am using to keep dust off my press while I am busy making dust in the shop.

Looks good so far!

Any suggestions for the height of bench for seated work?

I went about thus from the other end. I went with a bench height that would maximize under-storage and still be able to reload standing up. I will design a stool that fits my bench height after the fact.. I have been looking for a reason to carve a stool.
