Is the match open to non club members? I'm about an hour south of Sparta and would like to give it a try.

Yes anyone can shoot you don't have to be a member everyone is welcome would like to see you there

Absolutely, but you won't be happy with the results. The 260AI uses too much powder to fire that many rounds in a short period of time. Add to that the fact that it isn't really competitive with 6PPC, 6 BR, 30 BR etc. Finally, you will be required to use the next graduation target, meaning a .308. This will put you at a considerable disadvantage added to the other things. All that being said, if you show up at one of the matches I run, let me know you are coming and I'll bring the reticle that can be used for a 6.5 caliber. (Two Brothers & Strategic Edge). Where are you located?

I have a 12x42 NF with 1/8 dot is that too big, plus I would have to shoot in the unlimited class also but for me it will be for fun and just to shoot a match, I know BR shooting has come along way since I started back shooting, especially with the net and all, it's a different animal these days. I have tons of stuff to learn

Since you are going to have to shoot in Unlimited anyway, the weight of the NF scope isn't an issue. As far as power, quite a few of us use 55X & 60X. A few even shoot March 80X. IMO-you can't have too much power. You can always turn it down, but I rarely do. Come and shoot with us anytime you choose. You will be welcome.
