UBR Nationals at Buck Creek,Ky 8,12-13,2016

I hear there are already 5 relays about full,,maybe more by now,,I am looking forward to shooting against the best score shooters in the country,,I really hope to learn something,

I hope the creek is runnin as I may need somewhere to cool off,,

Day 1 had six relays at 100 yards. If I try to give a match report, I'll get it wrong, but the Gallatin crew is doing very well so far. Wish you guys could be here.

Ultimate Benchrest Nationals
The 2016 Ultimate Benchrest Nationals held at Buck Creek KY were the best ever. If I counted right we had 66 shooters competing in the four classes. The weather was warm and humid, about what would you expect for KY in August. Conditions were tricky as always for Buck Creek, but several figured it out. It was two days of the Jr & Garry show as Jr Rigsby took the Grand in Unlimited (510) and Custom(511), with Garry Lawrence picking up the Grand in Modified (506) and Factory (493).

I come back down to earth after last weeks 506 at Gallatin and shot a 491,,I started off good with a 65 and then on the 2nd relay 2 hours latter had a switchy head wind that kept me about a half a red hair off the dot low left and right and shot a 61,,
it was my first 2 day match and first match with 6 relays and BSing with the crowd between shooting ever 2 hours I had a hard time mentally,,

I will get better with that the more I shoot these matches,,I am really happy with how I am doing 5 months into my UBR career ,,

cant wait for 1st Sat in Sept and try out new Krieger 13.5 twist bbl,,
