FWIW, that's about equivalent to a 500-39 or 40x or so in IBS/NBRSA...and it didn't win the match! But it'll win a whole lot of them. The biggest difference is, it coulda been equivalent to a 499-42x but not likely. IOW, you could shoot a 9 but it'll take two x's to make up for it. Gotta assume the 9 would be at 200 with a score like that and spare x,s are tough to come by once you get into the range of 15 of them at 200. That's not the record but I'd have to look to see what is.

I didn’t shoot any 9s that day. At the time Steve Jaynes had the UL 200 yard record at 255 and I tied it that day , Dean Shultz shot 256 since then.
 
The day Dean shot that 256 was the same day that I shot 517 and lost. Three of us shot 256 at 200yds that day Brud being the third.
Brud beat me by a point at 100yds and set the new agg record at 518 in custom. Dean's 256 set the 200 yd unlimited record.
It was a crazy day at 200.

Yeah I remember well. I slam fired an 8 at 200 and shot 252 ,, I bet I’ve cleaned that BnA trigger 10 times since then.

Dean shot 64 on all 4 targets at 200.
 
Just stumbled across this topic after doing a search for UBR Competitions.

I have been shooting a very local informal bench league that runs 10 weeks and this has been my 4th season. We are just wrapping up the league in a couple weeks and then there is nothing available within a 3 hour drive until we start again until next January. :(

Through the range we shoot this at is a public facility and features 100, 200 and 300yd ranges. This range also hosts competitive Sporting Clays Matches so I believe they would be open to this UBR if there was some one to organize and administer it.

Very interested in investigating this further!
